Join us for this evening with Drs. Rossi and Scheyer discussing the latest advances in Maxillary Skeletal Expansion (MSE) and Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy (SFOT). Both of these treatments have revolutionized airway-focused dentistry allowing us at times to treat patients with less invasive procedures such as, orthognathic surgery. Even when orthognathic surgery is necessary to resolve obstructive airway disease, maxillary skeletal expansion can reduce the need for a three-piece Le Fort osteotomy. Please join us so that the doctors can show you, with case examples, successful maxillary skeletal expansion and surgically facilitated orthodontic therapy to coordinate arches and optimize a functional occlusion that provides a robust periodontium and protect the temporomandibular joint. We look forward to sharing dinner with you and having a vibrant discussion on December 2nd.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand airway focused dentistry.
- Understand the evidence-based and the clinical success of using Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD) based maxillary skeletal expansion.
- Understand surgically facilitated orthodontic therapy and the long history of research and execution at Perio Health Professionals.
